Continued Education Within Detailing - Las Vegas Detailing Industry Training
Monday, October 26, 2009 at 04:34PM Each and every time we all come together, it’s a great event, but this year, in 2009, I think this years event has more importance then any other event I have arranged during my 20 plus years in business...Why?
Each of us have been effected by the global economic situation and us, as a group getting together can offer each of us a time to visit, mingle and learn from one another. I can throw out all kinds of over used phrases, two heads are better then one, there is power in numbers but within the times we are living...business professionals gathering to share, learn and support one another has never been more important.
With that said, I did not want the same old ideas hashed out. We need to talk about the basics that are working, but we also need to discuss what items are available to us that can make our efforts within our business easier and our profits higher, all while supporting the lifestyle we desire.
Diane and I both are very excited to see you all November 7 & 8 in Las Vegas!
I am in Vegas the entire week during SEMA attending classes and meetings, so if you are getting into town early, make sure to let me know your availability to meet!

Rick Kallmes was born and raised in Detroit. Rick was formally trained in advertising, marketing and commercial illustration. After serving with the 1st Air Cavalry Division in Viet Nam, Rick began working with some of the largest and most respected advertising agencies in the country. During the early 80’s, Rick decided to start his own automotive after-market business. His automotive re-styling and custom work drew the attention of such clients as Reggie Jackson, Merle Haggard and other celebrities. It also drew the attention of the Special Projects Division of General Motors World Headquarters, Suzuki International and others.
Rick’s direction would change once again when his younger sister and brother-in-law introduced him to an exciting new sanitizing and disinfecting technology used by their company, GP Air Restoration. The company used high concentrations of ultraviolet generated ozone to treat homes with “sick building syndrome”. After learning the science of ultraviolet ozone generation, Rick decided to join GP Air Restoration in their efforts to expand the use of this technology into the automotive industry. With the encouragement of his sister and brother-in-law, Rick founded DynaBreeze Sanitizing and Disinfecting Systems. The company supplies car dealerships, auto service centers, car rental agencies and marinas with the finest ultraviolet sanitizing appliances available. The systems are designed to destroy harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds and especially odors.

Gerald (Jerry) & Pam Young
For Jerry indoor air quality issues came to light when he moved to WA and started a roofing company in the early 90’s. There were many times when during the process of tearing off a roof and having to replace the sheeting that mold was found. Often times this mold was having an effect on the families who lived there and thus it was noted that this fact within itself could be a business opportunity. That is how Jerry started within this industry as he witnesses something that few could address and even fewer knew anything about and he could assist people at living healthier lives and at the same time, provide a valuable service that in great part was an unknown by many.
Due to these issues and his experience as a general contractor, he was compelled to find a solution, which led him to a new opportunity with a company called SCO Technologies Medallion Healthy Homes out of Bothell, WA. So, in 2001, Jerry and his wife Pam became the first home service company in the United States to use high concentrations of clean, ultra violet light produced ozone to combat odors and microbial contamination. Not only did Jerry start his own company, GP Air Restoration of Medallion Healthy Homes in February of that year, but he helped others to start Medallion Healthy Homes service companies and trained them in the US and Canada.
Jerry was instrumental in adding credibility to Medallion Healthy Homes’ service companies with his foresight that more would be required of companies that specialize in air quality management, so he became a certified mold inspector and urged others to do the same, adding to their level of professionalism and profits.
Air Testing & Design, Inc. the manufacturer of the UV ozone equipment, was aware of Jerry’s background as a former tool and die sinker, as well as his knowledge as a general contractor and roofer, and would often consult with Jerry who participated in the research and development of a number of equipment models. Now in a partnership with his brother-in-law Rick Kallmes of Dynabreeze, several models have been created especially for the automotive industry. It is their quest to provide car dealerships and auto service companies with the strategy and best sanitizing equipment available, in order for those companies to provide a way to protect consumers from harmful interior contaminants (viruses, bacteria, molds, odors, etc.) that build up inside vehicles. Jerry’s expertise has allowed him to remain as the manufacturer representative for Air Testing & Design, Inc.
CMI (Certified Microbial Investigator) Certifications by: The American Indoor Air Quality Council (AmIAQ), Environmental Solutions Association (ESA) and the International Training Association (ITA). Associate Member of the following: Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), Environmental Solutions Association (ESA), and the International Ozone Association (IOA) and studied under the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO), an entity that set the standards for indoor air sampling procedures.

Renny and Diane Doyle are the founders of Attention To Details and after 12 years of running a highly visible company, decided to go after building a business built around lifestyle vs. chasing the big money...aka..they were burned out on working countless hours and knew there had to be a better way. So starting some eight years ago, the couple started to build up a very specialized client list, going after the very affluent and wealthy.
In 2003, the Doyle’s were offering detail clinics yet the large group setting was so impersonal, so in 2004, Detailing Success launched a private based training offer and the Doyle’s have never looked back as the training, coaching and mentoring they offer has attracted students from all corners of the globe.
Over the years, Diane and Renny have owned and operated several business aside and separate from their detailing business and have learned the art of not only building a business, but building a business with a exit strategy. Diane and Renny recently launched a new business coaching and mentoring an array of business including businesses within the medical field, the self storage facilities industry and chiropractors nationwide.
